1) Cash only at registration. 2) No person having any or having had any other than amateur will be allowed to participate in this tournament. 3) The Rainbow Classic Omaha Tournament is a USBC sanctioned tournament and a handicap competition by invitation only. All participants must be members of USBC and provide proof of membership (sanction card or signed statement from league secretary). If a participant is not a member of USBC, they must pay the current USBC participation fee and concurrently become subject to USBC rules and jurisdictions for the tournament. 4) The tournament events shall consist of team, doubles and singles with an optional scratch event competition that runs concurrently during the whole tournament. The number of games per event (singles, doubles, team) shall be a set of three. Teams will consist of four (4) participants. All bowlers will participate on an equal basis in handicap and scratch events. 5) Any bowler entering the tournament must establish an acceptable USBC ten pin average. The following rules for entering averages will be used. A minimum 21 games bowled will be needed in all cases. A. Use highest Fall/Winter sanctioned league book average of the 2023-2024 year. B. If no 2023-2024 book average then a Summer 2024 average will be used. C. If no Summer 2024 average then the 2022-2023 book average will be used. D. If no 2022-2023 average is available then the current league average with a minimum 21 games bowled will be used. A league sheet must be provided. E. If none of the above applies, entering average will be 225. 6) Handicap for the tournament will be based upon ninety percent (90%) of the difference of the bowler’s entering average and 225. Negative handicaps will not apply. 7) Average adjustments will be applied as set forth under USBC rules in its entirety and applies to all entrants. All average adjustments will be completed prior to the start of the tournament. 8) Bowlers must verify the accuracy of their average, whether submitted by the bowler, team captain, or other. Failure to use the proper average shall disqualify scores if submitted average is lower than the actual average thereby resulting an entry of 0 in all games and events. Prize winnings shall be based on the submitted average if it is higher than the actual average. 9) Each participant may bowl only once per event. 10) Doubles partners must be on the same team. 11) Partial team entries will be accepted and the tournament directors will make every effort to fill the vacancies. 12) Substitutes may bowl at the tournament director’s discretion. Their entering average must comply with the rules stated. 13) The complete team must be present for bowling the team event. 14) Late bowlers will begin bowling in the frame in which they are ready to commence, with prior frames being scored as zero. It is the bowlers sole responsibility to be present at the assigned lanes at the time of bowling. 15) Optional scratch fees will remain 100% in the scratch division. Distribution in each division will be based upon the number of participants in each division. 16) There will be 10 minutes of practice for each shift. 17) All prize fees collected in an event will be returned 100% to the participants in the event or division. 18) By participating in this tournament, participants authorize Rainbow Classic Omaha Tournament to distribute, copy, post names and standing sheets on the Rainbow Classic Omaha Tournament website. Payment and participation is proof of authorization. Participants hold Rainbow Classic Omaha Tournament harmless of this distribution. 19) Prizes will be distributed, barring protests, at the tournament awards party at completion of the tournament. A tie in any position will result in equal division of prizes. Prize fund will be based upon 100% participation. 20) Any claims of error or disputes must be submitted in writing to the tournament directors within one hour of the dispute/error. The protesting bowler(s) or team(s) and the tournament directors shall settle the dispute according to the tournament rules and/or USBC rules. 21) Handicap entries for all awards shall be based on total pins plus handicap for each event. The optional scratch event and shall come from the optional entry monies for those events and will be distributed accordingly with each division. 22) There will be six (6) divisions of competition in the optional scratch event: Division F averages (0-129), Division E averages (130-144), Division D averages (145-159), Division C averages (160-174), Division B averages (175-189) and Division A averages (190 and above). Optional scratch will be accepted only up to the beginning of the first bowling shift.
